Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern all tours, activities, and services (“Tour” or “Tours”) provided by Israel with Karl (“Karl”) to clients who reserve or participate in them (“Client” or “Clients”).

By reserving a Tour, Clients agree to these Terms.

1. Booking and Payment

Tour reservations must be confirmed in advance via email or WhatsApp. Payment in full is due upon Tour’s completion, and Clients will receive confirmation of booking and payment via email or WhatsApp.

Although prices for Karl’s services are listed in U.S. dollars (USD), these are provided for reference only. Payments can be made in USD, shekels, or Euros according to the most recent exchange rate published by the Bank of Israel.

Israeli citizens or holders of other visas, such as student or work visas, must pay 18% value-added tax (VAT) in addition to a Tour’s listed price. Clients holding a tourist (B2) or national service (B4) visa do not pay VAT.

2. Client-Initiated Cancellations and Refund Policy

Though there is no cancellation fee for the guided Tour, Client is requested to notify Karl of cancellations as early as possible by email or WhatsApp.

If Client requested booking of specific sites, restaurants, or transportation, cancellation fees will be determined according to the demands of the venues.

3. Provider-Initiated Cancellations

Karl endeavors to fulfill all Tour reservations as scheduled. But Client acknowledges the possibility that Karl may need to cancel a tour due to force majeure events, such as unexpected illness, regional political developments, etc.

In the event that Karl is forced to cancel a Tour, Client will be notified as soon as possible via WhatsApp or email and will be referred to an experienced, licensed tour guide colleague to ensure Client's travels continue as planned.

4. Changes and Flexibility

Karl reserves the right to modify Tour itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather, site/attraction closures, labor strikes, political developments, traffic, or flight delays. Substitutions may be made with comparable activities if possible, but Karl does not accept any liability arising out of changes to itineraries or any other matters relating to any Tour due to factors outside his control. Because Tours are tailor-made, all changes to the Tour will be made in consultation with Client.

Client-initiated Tour rescheduling will be done according to Karl’s availability.

5. Inclusions and Exclusions

Tours are priced per day, which is typically eight hours total. Some Tours may be shortened or lengthened according to the preferences of Client or in response to weather, traffic, etc.

All Tours include guiding services and basic planning support for a fee of $400 per day. Additional services — such as arranging transportation, reserving tickets to scheduled sites, and organizing meals — are available for small Tour groups. Fees for these additional services are determined on a case-by-case basis and will be confirmed with Clients before booking.

All other travel arrangements — such as flights, hotels, travel documents, visas, and insurance — must be made by Clients.

Karl reserves the right to modify Tour prices due to any fluctuations in local costs or exchange rates.

6. Clients’ Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

Ensure that they are eligible for an Israel entry visa.
Inform Karl in advance of any health conditions, mobility issues, sensory impairments, allergies, or dietary restrictions that may affect their Tour participation.
Arrive on time at their Tour’s meeting point.
Safeguard their belongings during Tours. Karl is not responsible for misplacement or theft of Clients’ belongings during the tour.
Follow Karl’s instructions at all times during the Tour.
Obey Israeli law and respect the cultural norms and dress codes of local communities.

Should Clients be refused entry to Israel or deported from Israel during a Tour, Karl will not be held liable for any of Clients’ delay or repatriation costs.

7. Limitation of Liability

While Karl takes every precaution to ensure Clients’ safety and welfare, Karl is not responsible for injuries, accidents, delays, or losses that occur during Tours. Clients acknowledge that travel holds inherent risks, and Clients participate in Karl’s Tours at their own risk.

Clients assume all responsibility for any health-related issues, physical or psychological, which may arise as a result of Karl’s Tours. Costs related to accidents or illnesses sustained during Karl’s Tours that, in the opinion of the authorities, require medical attention, are Clients’ liability.

Some Tours may include physical activities and locations that aren’t fully accessible to Clients with disabilities. While Karl will always endeavor to ensure Tours are suited to Clients’ abilities, Karl is not responsible for any inconveniences arising from Tour locations’ and activities’ limitations.

While efforts will be made to accommodate Clients’ dietary needs, there may be allergens present in the Tour environment, and Karl cannot be held liable for Clients’ allergic reactions.

Karl does not insure Clients. Clients are strongly encouraged to obtain travel and medical insurance before commencing a Tour.

Clients and their dependents, heirs, executors, or administrators indemnify and hold blameless Karl, his employees, representatives, and agents from any claims of any nature and from any liability for delay, loss, damage, inaccessibility, injury, illness, or death arising from any cause whatsoever out of events related to or occurring during a Tour.

8. Use of AI-Generated Images

Some visual materials used by Karl were created or enhanced using artificial intelligence (AI) tools. These images are used solely for illustrative and branding purposes and do not depict actual persons, places, or events unless explicitly stated. All AI-generated content complies with the licensing terms of the relevant platforms.

9. Client Agreement

By reserving a Tour, Client indicates that they have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to all the Terms in full. Client confirms that they are of sound mind and acting of their own free will, without coercion or duress, and agrees to the assumption of risk and waiver of liability. Client understands that by reserving Karl’s services, these Terms become a binding agreement.

Client confirms that they are at least 18 years of age and that any Tour participants under 18 years of age will be accompanied on the Tour by a parent or legal guardian.

No information about Clients will be provided to a third party unless it is necessary for the Tour’s operation.

10. Governing Law

Terms are governed by the State of Israel’s laws. Clients consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tel Aviv’s courts in resolving all disputes arising out of or relating to Karl’s services.

If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable according to Israeli law, the invalid or unenforceable provision will be superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent and spirit of the original provision, and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect.
